What if letters could digitally disintegrate?

While wondering about typefaces that could change digitally, as an extension of my n=4 experiment, I wondered whether there was a way for typefaces to digitally disintegrate.

Each letterform is made up of a certain number of pixels, with every pixel having a unique position on screen. What if in certain conditions, such as when the person is not viewing the words on the screen, the letters could start to disintegrate; making a person more aware of their lack of attention.
