seed nourished during conversation with kari. decided to tape the floor, and walk as an autonomous cell — acting on different rules.

a few things become apparent to me:
beings in the digital world can occupy the same space at the same time. the laws of our universe disallows that.
- a person doesn’t have 8 possibilities to walk to, but 4 at any given point in time (my vision blocks what is behind me).
- people don’t move arbitrarily. they move towards a direction (literal / metaphorical).
- even if people have a direction, they can only look one step ahead.
- enacting a system is hard, because computers have better memory (variables) than humans.
- it is hard to restrain yourself (a person) to a substantially smaller system (i can argue that there is a bigger one at play), and we want to feel more free than rigid (although we subscribe to laws of nature such as no two physical particles can take up the same amount of space).
