made so many sounds. i spent about 7 hours in the synth-lab, over two days. all sounds are available here.

did this on the synth near the sh101.

a simple lfo, with the setting on random.

^ slower.

more lfo-s; no random.

spent time understanding the arp-2600. it dawned on me that it’s not much different that the stuff i made (final-project-2_log, and my current analog synth experiments).

the manual was too complicated to understand. watched this instead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TThoyjlpXOo

this video explains my understanding.

made something with just the vcos, and no piano input.

from what i remember, i applied vco-2 as the adsr on vco-1. which is why the amplitude of the vco-1 is controlled with a wave of sorts.

i perhaps should have documented more meticulously. but: this is one of the prime examples for a case where i don’t think documentation would have helped. there is a certain element of bodily movement & feedback through the synth that forms an understanding of the synth that i do not wish to break down into words.

but anyway, i understand how it works.

made another patch:

then moved on to the serge. read the documentation for it on idm’s website. it seemed pretty straightforward: outputs plug into inputs; finally the output goes through the mixer to the output channels (which go to the speakers).

made about three patches.

i couldn't understand how to split a wave into two waves (so as to output sound from one, and use it as a control for another).
