after efi_class-9, wanted to use a 555 to send pulses to four solenoids, mounted on a proto-board, to make the proto-board bounce up & down. i’d anticipated the low-bounce, and wanted to use springs to see what’d happen.

spent time soldering the circuit, but fell short on a few things.

  1. did not account for current, and passed positive-voltage through the transistor, instead of connecting both grounds together.
  2. hot glue with solenoids won’t work. solenoids produce a lot of heat, and that melts the glue. need to find a better way to mount it.
  3. probably need to test everything first before soldering. everything is a variable — and i need to make sure everything works (power-supply, number of solenoids, placement, et-cetera).
