my approach will keep evolving, as i make my way through the program. this list is sorted by newest addition first.

addition:

when you feel that you’ve gone fast for too long, slow down.

251012:

you’re a student; not a maker.

251007:

after conversation with allison.

operate out of love, and be true to your own curiosity.

251003:

mimi yin & tom have helped me see that i’m not here to produce (right now), i’m here to learn.

addition:

be true to your own curiosity.

250927:

i spoke with shawn, daniel shiffman and tom, and understood that the first semester is about exposing everyone to a bunch of new things; some of which i may have already done.

so, daniel shiffman recommended that i use the first semester to play & explore things that i want to, help others around me (and form connections), and not aim for big projects. i think i need to operate in light-project-mode.

2509:

it got too much. shikha, mum & matt helped me see that, at this rate, i’ll probably burn out soon. tom told me that it might be wiser to experiment with the thing we’re taught that week, and expect only two good projects per course.

however, advice on the floor (and by my inner self) says differently. i’m split, and still trying to find a balance.

2508:

i wanted to produce work. i decided to make projects for each courses every single week, and to push the boundaries of what i could do with a given ask.
