A lot of dynamism that comes through in abstract expressionist paintings is because of the 'pace' with which the object applying the paint moves across the canvas. If the object is moved fast, the application of paint has gaps. However, if the object moves slowly, the application of paint is richer.
A random number of rectangular strokes begin from random positions on the canvas, each with its own unique rotation and speed of movement. All strokes then spread outwards, eventually reaching the edge of the canvas. The person viewing the software is in control of when to 'stop' the painting.
