i wrote to tim szetela following a conversation at the itp-winter-show 2025. he’d done some previous work on art of science that i found intriguing; owing to my previous experience at science-gallery-bengaluru.

a statement from his email was poignant:

I really enjoyed working on Art of Science, partially because my brain can’t parse all the science, but I can readily interface with color, motion, image, and moments of observation.

a good justification to give when people ask how (or why) we, non-scientists, work with science as working material(s) for artists:

our brain can’t parse all the science, but we can readily interface with color, motion, image, and moments of observation.
