by an idea; a person; or a possibility:

it bites into your soul suddenly — like the first bite of browned-toast — and seeps into every pore of your existence; weakening your structural integrity. before you know it, the feeling has taken over, and you are at the mercy of where this takes you.

the natural response is resistance — all kinds of dissuading thoughts in sheepish attempts to steer you away — because the (illusory) locus of control is attractive.

to deny it, however — to deny the wave that is carrying you — would be to deny life itself. you are not in control; you never were. you are but a vessel, and life is merely happening through you.

for people smitten — myself included — by an idea; a person; or a possibility; let it carry you. think less; feel more. crawl out of capitalistic constructions to experience the myriad of human-experience.

afterthought: how romantic everything is if looked at with love. my thesis began from a place of love, but lost out to intellectual resistance.
