presented this at the composition conference in philadelphia.


it was heartwarming to find so many people come up, and validate that my work was interesting, original, and technically & poetically rich.

mike wehar came up, and kindly said that i should apply to give a ted talk.

afterwards, the organizers & presenters got pizza together. we discussed the lack of technical depth in art that gets publicized, and wondered whether we want to play the larger game or do good work with smaller audiences. and whether the perfect mix exists.
