good reminder:
it’s important to get students doing things because then they figure out why they care about it …
you can tell them why you care about it … but you can’t give them meaning. they have to find that for themselves.
keep asking yourself why you care about this thing; whom you’re doing this for; and why do you enjoy it.
i think in trying to articulate this over & over again, my artist material drafts will become clearer.
